Etsy Upgrades Tools and Support for Vendors

Etsy is rolling out multiple tools and tech resources to improve the back-end experience for its sellers. Some of the new features include:

  • New photo editing tools available on the website or the Etsy app. The process is done in the background so sellers can work on other tasks in tandem.

  • New and custom photo filters

  • See all listing categories and subcategories in the seller app.

  • A clearer seller visibility dashboard that shares key insights with sellers: i.e. which listings could use a refresh.

  • Etsy is also beta-testing feedback alerts that highlight issues that could impact a seller’s search ranking before publishing new listings.

As part of its digital overhaul, Etsy has also improved their Shop Manager platform. Moving forward, it will be easier to find key insights into their sales stats and orders, and recent activity will have its own separate tab.

Likewise, highly rated sellers outside the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia, and sellers in the aforementioned regions, will have direct access to Etsy Support.

Other upgrades to the platform include 40% faster order uploads; alerts showing which pages are crashing or slow to load; improved ad placement; and improved shop home layout to make the shopping experience better for customers and for easier for sellers to show their product listings.

Recently, Etsy introduced new shopping features which enables customers to shop a curated selection of product based on trends, aesthetics, and occasions. Likewise, searching for just the right product was simplified by Etsy’s introduction of search filters like “listing image quality and quantity, return policies, message response times, and shipping prices.”
