DHL To Suspend Global Shipments to the US for Parcels Over USD 800
On April 21st, 2025, DHL Express stopped global shipment of business-to-consumer (B2C) parcels worth over USD 800 to individuals living in the United States due to lengthier custom clearance procedures triggered by recent trade policy changes. Up until recently, parcels with a declared value under USD 2,500 did not require formal entry processing. The minimum changed on April 5th, and it took less a month for DHL to change their shipment policies.
Business-to-Business (B2B) shipments are not expected to be suspended; however, administrative clearance might delay delivery of goods in a timely manner.
Interestingly, shipments from Hong Kong to the United States will continue for the time being, and will adapt as the situation evolves.
